Liz is the director of Pulse Physiotherapy Brisbane and Pilates. She has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland and a Masters in Manipulative Therapy from the University of Western Australia. She has undertaken Pilates certification and training with Stott Pilates, The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Insititute and The Body Control Association. 

Liz has a strong interest in rehabilitation and believes the integration of specific physiotherapy techniques with appropriately tailored pilates exercises is the key to injury prevention and treatment.

She has worked as a physiotherapist and pilates instructor in Australia and the U.K

She lectured for several years in the U.K. teaching rehabilitation pilates to physiotherapists.

Angie Ellam

Angie has a Masters Physiotherapy Degree from the University of Queensland. She has a strong interest in injury rehabilitation and regularly combines Physiotherapy with Pilates to achieve quick and effective results. Her strong anatomical and biomechanical knowledge assists her diagnostic skills and treatment plans.

Angie enjoys instructing individual and small group Pilates classes and takes a variety of these classes throughout the week

Louise Westaway

Louise studied Physiotherapy at University of Queensland. She has a strong interest in sports and injury rehabilitation, and works closely with a wide range of sports from rugby through to performers involved in physical theatre.

Louise finds the combination of her assessment skills as a Physiotherapist, and Pilates exercise prescription a perfect combination to help her clients achieve improved function, strength and postural awareness.

Katherine Schindler

Katherine has a Graduate Diploma in Human Movement Studies and a Masters degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland. She has a strong interest in rehabilitation and loves to help motivate and encourage each and every client to achieve the best result they can. Katherine enjoys integrating her love of rehabilitation with Pilates training.

Katherine’s interest in exercise began years ago when she was involved in competitive gymnastics. She currently enjoys long distance running and cycling.

Marnie Jobson

Marnie Jobson

Remedial Massage Therapist
Certified Pilates Instructor

Marnie has an Advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy and trained at the Pilates Institute of Australia. Combining these qualifications with clinical personal training and massage therapy, her focus is on holistic healthcare with interests in muscular imbalances and sporting injuries.

She has previously instructed Pilates for 8 years in tropical north Queensland

Felicity Boosey

Felicity has been involved in the fitness and rehabilitation field since graduating with a Degree in Sport Rehabilitation in the UK in 2000. Since qualifying as a Pilates Matwork Instructor in 2005 she has been instructing regular mat classes at various ability levels. 

Felicity moved to Australia in 2007 where she continues to pursue her career and expand her knowledge of Pilates. She became a Certified Practitioner of Pilates for Rehabilitation in 2008 through Polestar Pilates, becoming trained to instruct on specialised studio equipment including Reformer, Cadillac and Wunda Chair. Felicity is a member of Pilates Alliance Australasia and often attends further training courses to ensure her knowledge and teaching is current, varied and enjoyable. 

Keely Mancini

Keely has a long history in Pilates Instruction. She is a certified equipment and mat instructor with an incredible depth of knowledge and experience. Keely combines her knowledge of the human body with her expansive Pilates repertoire to co-ordinate classes which are progressive, creative and thoroughly effective.

Keely instructs both small group and individual pilates classes.

 

Lisa Dodemont

Lisa is in her final year of Physiotherapy studies at the University of Queensland. She has a strong interest in utilizing her anatomical knowledge within her Pilates classes to enhance health and fitness benefits, injury prevention and rehabilitation.
She has been teaching Pregnancy Pilates, Yoga and Pregnancy Fitball classes since 2008 and has a passion for promoting fitness and wellbeing at any stage of life.

Lizzi Webb

Lizzi initially began pilates in Sydney over ten years ago to complement her dance studies. Working with both mat and equipment she found the core principles of the Pilates method aligned beautifully with those of dance to enhance technique and performance. Lizzi has a Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (2009) from Pilates International Training Centre/Sydney Institute of Tafe . She is a member of the Pilates Alliance of Australasia and also also hold a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) degree (2001).

Jannah is currently undertaking studies at UQ in Physiotherapy.

She has a keen interest in pilates and is currently instructing both group and individual sessions at Pulse.

Sarah Nuttridge

Carla is currently studying Psychology at QUT and has a particular interest in areas of health and counselling. She has a great passion for travel, foreign cultures and language and has recently returned from a year in South America fulfilling these pursuits.

Gemma Morgan

Gemma Morgan

Reception

Gemma is currently studying Business Management and Commerce at UQ, majoring in Marketing and Finance. Sport has, and continues, to play a large role in her life, in particular, swimming and netball. She also loves to travel and ski. Gemma works at Pulse every Tuesday and Thursday.
